Sculpt: A New Responsive Web Design Framework
Sculpt by Heart Internet
This week, the wonderful folk over at Heart Internet have released their very own responsive web design and development framework; Sculpt. It’s totally cool, very lightweight and mobile-first orientated using the latest techniques.
Sculpt will be great for any freelance website designers or developers, or even agencies, looking to streamline their project process and cut down on the time spent setting up the fundamentals for each project. If you build websites as much as I do, you’ll have grown too aware of formatting each HTML document for the first time with the relevant <html>, <head> and <body> tags.
Sculpt comes pre-built with it’s own responsive stylesheets and logically written, semantic markup – making your life as a web developer very easy indeed. This will save you hours of time in the development stages, and, the more familiar you become with using the framework; the quicker and more efficient you’ll become at using it, ultimately saving you even more time! And, you know what they say about time!
Here’s what Heart Internet have to say about their own Sculpt framework:
Sculpt has been written to cater for devices with small screen sizes first, with more complexity being added through media queries as screen real-estate increases. You don’t have to be one of our customers, and don’t need to provide us with attribution for you to use it. This is the same framework we use on our own website, and we are giving it to you for free.
We want everyone to be able to benefit from mobile traffic and build beautiful websites no matter how big the screen size so we are making our framework completely free for everyone to download and use.– QUOTE TAKEN FROM HEART INTERNET’S SCULPT WEBSITE
