Was ranking at #1 for a keyword for weeks, Now competitors have pushed me to #12 with backlinks and authority. How can I recover?

Do what they did. Mimic their off page. See how good their on page is. But do it better.

Cannot get the same links as my #5 and #6 competitors, seems like PBNs! Also I shy away from using PBN’s… Could you suggest a long lasting strategy? On page I’ll improve with more rich content (Already have pics, videos and 3300 words).

Concentrate on quality links, blogs and citations.

From #1 to #12, I would suggest to wait for a while and if nothing good happens then try to tune up the content.

And then there is a Google dance. I agree with this.

      I’m assuming he’s joking.

I hope he’s joking, as it takes effort doing SEO and if we fall behind, its disheartening!

As already mentioned, perhaps wait a little and if nothing changes you need to build back-links and authority to help compete. See if you can see what they did differently over the past couple of weeks to get the rank improvements.

Did they add any additional content?
What back-links did they recently get?
